Returning from 15th to 22nd August, Hamilton Island Race Week is set to deliver another unforgettable week of exhilarating racing and island indulgence. Now in its 41st year, the iconic regatta has already attracted more than 170 entries, cementing its place as Australia's premier offshore sailing event.
Set against the spectacular backdrop of the Great Barrier Reef, the fleet ranges from world-class racing yachts to family crews and first-time competitors, all chasing glory across the sparkling Whitsunday Passage.
Among this year's headline acts is the legendary 100-foot Wild Thing 100, while internationally renowned yachtsman Karl Kwok returns with Beau Ideal to contest the Super 40 division, adding further international prestige to the fleet.
For those watching from shore, however, Race Week offers just as much excitement beyond the finish line.
What began as a sailing regatta has evolved into one of the country's most desirable sporting and lifestyle festivals, where award-winning dining, premium wines, live entertainment and luxury experiences are all part of the itinerary.
This year's social program showcases some of Australia's biggest culinary and sporting names, including an exclusive Long Lunch with celebrated chefs Josh Niland and Khanh Ong, presented by American Express, at Niland's Catseye Pool Club. Guests can also hear from Olympic silver medallist Olivia Price and America's Cup sailor Cole Tapper during an intimate discussion at Bommie Restaurant, sip their way through the Kylie Minogue Wines Garden Party, indulge at the Tanqueray Supper Club at Romano's, or settle in for the ever-popular Race Day Long Lunch overlooking the marina.
For the ultimate vantage point, spectator cruises aboard luxury superyacht Rascal place guests right alongside the action.
